"Hammond police are in contact with us and we are cooperating fully with them," a spokesman for the casino tells NBC 5. Police would like residents to be on the lookout for the stolen vehicles: A gray 1999 Toyota Camry with license plate number zx20185 and a black 2014 Hyundai Sonata zy44585. Police also obtained surveillance photos from the Walmart in Hammond where the suspects used credit cards stolen from the casino. The suspects then fled to a Calumet City bank where surveillance photos show them robbing a woman as she makes a deposit. "It makes me worry even my neighbors would be kind of worried. "Yeah it's very concerning," said resident John Gruvich. Police say the suspects started their crime spree in the 5500 block of Alice Street when they threatened another 67-year-old man with baseball bats and stole his car. They threatened to shoot the victim with a handgun before taking off in his car and a getaway vehicle. A short time later video from the parking garage shows the suspects pulling a 67-year old man from his car and assaulting him as they go through his pockets. Surveillance video released by Hammond police shows two suspects lingering by an elevator. Police believe a group of five young men is responsible for a crime spree in Indiana that started early Tuesday morning and left some patrons at the Horseshoe Casino questioning their safety.
